Air belt sanders are used for stripping layers of paint or rust, clean and smooth workpiece surfaces and sculpt contours. These air belt sanders run on compressed air and require minimum preparation. Dynabrade belt sanders have larger openings, as compared to other standard sanders, for better belt tracking and facilitate working with a composite belt guard for quick-changing of abrasive belts. These units feature a patented design which allows compatibility with 1/8 Inch (3 mm), 1/4 Inch (6 mm) or 1/2 Inch (13 mm) wide x 24 Inch (610 mm) long abrasive belts. Air belt sanders from Chicago Pneumatic are engineered for working in constrained spaces and feature a sanding head which pivots to 360 degrees for multi-position sanding.
