Liquid Operated Jets, Cast Iron

Dayton liquid operated jets are designed to mix fluids, pump water, transport materials & grains, desalinate seawater & more. These cast iron constructed pumps does not require electricity for operation. They form a strong suction by pumping a high pressure liquid which in turn draws secondary liquid into the pump. These pumps can withstand a maximum pressure rating of 150 PSI. They have NPT threads on both the inlets for a secure connection. Choose from a wide range of these liquid opearted jets, available in 3/8, 1/2, 3/4, 1, 1-1/4 and 1-1/2 inch NPT inlet threads on Raptor Supplies.

Maintenance Free Jet Pumps

Dayton steam-operated jet pumps are suitable for mixing fluids, vacuum pump water, desalinate seawater, move grains or solid granular material and more. These jet eductors are made of bronze to provide resistance to corrosion, erosion and cavitation. They convert the liquid that passes through the inlet to high-pressure steam that in turn create a strong vacuum pumping action. These units are self-priming and have no moving components, thereby require little to no maintenance and are easy to install. Choose from a wide range of these jet pumps, available in lengths ranging between 5.875 and 14.437 inches.

Maintenance Free Jet Pumps, Cast Iron Construction

Dayton jet eductors are designed for efficiently pumping a variety of fluids and gases by utilising high-pressure steam to create a strong vacuum pumping action. These maintenance-free jets create strong suction within the pump body, allowing fluid mixing, desalination of seawater, moving grains or solid granular material and more. The liquids / gases are then exerted out, under pressure, through the discharge port. These steam-operated jet pumps are self-priming and have no moving components. These pumps require little to no maintenance and are easy to install. Choose from an extensive range of these cast iron jet pumps, available in heights ranging from 1.75 to 4.437 inches.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the advantage of using PVC eductors?

PVC eductors are corrosion-resistant and can be used for both continuous and intermittent operations. They feature no moving parts to wear out and are widely used to pump AFFF (aqueous fire fighting foam).

What is the Venturi effect?

The Venturi effect is the reduction of fluid pressure, which happens when a fluid flows through a constricted section (or choke) of a pipe. This mechanism speeds up the flow of the fluid by increasing its velocity and decreasing the pressure, causing the fluid to discharge out of the system. As the flow leaves the constriction, its pressure increases back to the ambient pipe level.

How does an eductor nozzle work?

The fast-moving fluids get kinetic energy from the tapered shape of the nozzle, which results in a decrease in pressure at the tip of the nozzle. Because of the pressure difference, the desired fluid is sucked into the eductor, where it mixes with the flow stream and is ejected out.
