Crimping tools are best suited for crimping braided, spiral, thermoplastic & teflon hoses, C- & H-taps, lugs and overhead tension sleeves. Eclipse hydraulic crimpers feature an interchangeable die for eliminating the requirement of additional tools, a flexible head capable of rotating up to 360 degrees and a built-in safety valve for bypassing oil levels upon reaching the maximum pressure limit. Selected models from Eaton feature a positive stop crimp diameter control for facilitating consistent crimping without any requirement of prior adjustments or calibrations, variable frame position for ease-of-installation and a hinged handle for fatigue-free operation with maximum gripping action. Choose from an extensive range of these tools available in pressure ratings ranging from 2500 to 10000 psi.
A spacer ring is a circular metal piece placed on the end of the hose or fitting before it is inserted into the collet assembly to prevent it from slipping and shifting during the crimping process.
A sliding pusher is a metal rod designed to apply pressure to the hose or fitting to ensure it is held in place while the crimp is being made.
A test slug is a device that tests the calibration and performance of the crimping tool. It is a specially designed metal piece that is crimped using the tool being tested. If the slug achieves a proper crimp by providing a measured force, the user can determine that the tool is properly calibrated and performing within industry standards.
