Working Mechanism

  • The lower edge of the screw blade sweeps dirt at the bottom of the hole, and the rest of the blade acts as a screw conveyor for lifting the loose soil out of the way.
  • When the hole reaches the desired depth and the tool is pulled out, the screw blade removes the remaining loose dirt.

  • These mud augers feature bails made of carbon steel / stainless steel for structural rigidity and stainless steel cylinders for resisting corrosion on exposed surfaces.
  • They have two openings in the cylinder wall to empty the cylinder.
  • These augers are equipped with widely spaced bits to ease the entry of sticky soils.
