CH Hanson pivot squares are designed to pivot to easily measure or mark angles. These squares feature a locking mechanism that sets the square at a specific angle for accurately marking repetitive cut lines in either degree or roof pitches. They are equipped with 3 UV resistant vials to determine roof pitches & angles, indicate grades, facilitate miter cuts and allow for leveling & plumbing cuts. These pivot squares come with an expert guide for roof construction and framing. They are available in 1/16 and 1/8 inch graduation variants.
To use a C.H. Hanson pivot square, simply align the edge of the square with the edge of the material you are measuring or marking, and use the built-in protractor to set the angle you need. The square can then be used to mark or measure at that angle.
