What is the function of a surge suppressor?

• A surge suppressor is used in industrial control relays to protect them from voltage surges and transients.
• These surges can be caused by lightning strikes, power outages or other electrical disturbances.

What are convertible relays?

Convertible relays have a set of normally open and normally closed contacts that can be switched with each other, making them more versatile to be used in a variety of applications. The field conversation can be done by a user either manually or by software, depending on the relay design.

What are overlap contacts?

• Overlap contacts are used in industrial relays and are designed to overlap each other while creating a larger contact area to reduce the risk of arching & contact erosion.
• The increased contact area also reduces the electrical resistance and heat generated by the contact.
