EATON Brake Springs

Eaton brake springs are used in the vehicle's braking systems to apply pressure to the brake pads and cause them to clamp down on the brake rotors. They withstand high pressures and temperatures generated during braking. They are used in conjunction with other brake components, such as calliper...s, rotors and pads, to provide the necessary force to slow down or stop the vehicle.Read more

Working Mechanism

  • When the driver presses the brake pedal, it activates the brake master cylinder, pressurising the brake fluid.
  • This pressurised brake fluid is then sent through the brake lines to the brake callipers (located at each wheel).
  • When the brake fluid pressure is applied to the piston (located inside the calliper), it pushes the brake pads against the brake rotors.
  • The pressure from the brake pads causes friction, slows down the wheels and brings the vehicle to a halt.
  • These brake springs hold the brake pads in place and apply the necessary pressure to the rotors.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do Eaton brake springs require lubrication?

No.

How to maintain brake springs?

  • Inspect them regularly for wear and damage.
  • Clean the brake springs timely.

How to clean the brake springs?

Use a soft cloth or brush to remove any dirt or debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these could damage the springs or affect their performance.
