EATON Danfoss CV3-10/CV13-10 Series Check Valves

Eaton CV13-10 Series check valves are used in hydraulic systems to allow fluid flow in one direction while preventing backflow. They feature a poppet that quickly opens or closes the valve ports to control the flow in the system. They are integrated with Buna-N seals to create a safe barrier be...tween the poppet and the valve port to prevent leakage and intrusion of contaminants for the smooth functioning of internal parts. These units are compatible with hydraulic fluids, including mineral oils, petroleum and SAE 10-rated lubricating oils with the recommended filtration level of 18/16/13, ensuring a smooth flow. Working Mechanism

  • These check valves utilise a spring-loaded poppet device to control the fluid flow.
  • When the fluid flows in the desired direction, the induced high pressure pushes the poppet valve open and allows the fluid to pass through.
  • As the pressure decreases, the liquid tends to move in the opposite direction compressing the spring. This compression seals the poppet valve and blocks the flow.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is filtration needed in control valves?

Filtered fluid reduces the risk of clogging the control valve, thus protecting the internal components from damage and wear.

How to maintain the check valves?

Inspect the valve periodically for any signs of leakage or damage. Replace the valve or its components if necessary.

What is the difference between check valves and directional check valves?

Check valves allow the fluid flow in only one direction while preventing reverse flow. Directional check valves, on the other hand, control the direction of the liquid depending on the need of the system.
