Working Mechanism

  • Until the exit (regulated) pressure exceeds the setting of the pilot section, this valve is generally open, enabling intake oil to travel to the regulated line.
  • When this setting is reached, a pilot flow takes place, creating an imbalance in pressure across the main spool, which then moves to throttle the incoming flow and stop any further pressure rise in the regulated line.
  • The main spool slides back further, opening the regulated port to the tank line, acting as a relief valve if any external force causes the regulated pressure to climb more than 5 to 10% above the setting.

Features

  • These Danfoss PRV12-12 Series pressure control valves can be operated at pressures ranging from 10 to 350 bar.
