Working Mechanism

  • When a pre-set pilot pressure is reached, the spool moves back against the spring, opening the line between the inlet and outlet.
  • When the pilot pressure falls, the valve returns to its normal position.

Features

  • These sequence valves provide ordered sequencing of two or more operations and can be used as downstream relief valves where the downstream pressure is high or changes during operation.
  • They feature Buna-N seals that offer excellent resistance to petroleum-based oils and fuels, silicone greases, hydraulic fluids and water.
  • They come with screws attached to them to allow adjustment of these valves. Turning the screw clockwise increases the water pressure, while turning anti-clockwise lowers it.
  • They have a direct-acting, poppet style screw cartridge that is ideal for low-cost small flow applications to limit the pressure in the system.
  • Direct-acting models are suitable for minimising flow applications and regulating pressures up to 2500 psi.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is cracking pressure?

The pressure at which the relief valve first opens to allow fluid flow through the valve is called cracking pressure.

What is a bonnet?

The bonnet is a part of the valve pressure-retaining boundary that contains the packing box and stem seal. The bonnet can be integral to the valve body or bolted or screwed. With the help of the bonnet, an actuator is connected to the valve body.

What is a control valve?

It is a power-operated device used to modify the fluid flow rate in the process control system. It consists of a valve and an actuator, which responds to the control system's signal and changes the position of a flow-controlling element in the valve.
