Working Mechanism

  • When the fluid flows through the pilot-operated check valves in the forward direction, the poppet or ball in the check valve is pushed open.
  • This opening allows the fluid to flow through the valve.
  • If the flow direction reverses, the spring in the check valve pushes the poppet or ball closed, preventing backflow.

Features

  • Eaton Danfoss SPC1-10 Series check valves feature steel construction to withstand pressures up to 210 bar.
  • They comply with the ISO cleanliness code of 18/16/13 microns for preventing contaminants from entering the valves and handling flows up to 45 litres per minute.
  • Selected models have aluminium housing, making them suitable for use in a corrosive environment.
  • They have Buna-N seals to minimise leaks.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to maintain a check valve?

To maintain a check valve, inspect it regularly for signs of wear or damage, clean it if necessary and replace any damaged parts as needed.

What is the difference between a check valve and a control valve?

Check valves allow flow in only one direction, while a control valve regulates the flow of fluid in both directions.

How to size a check valve?

To size a check valve, determine the flow rate and pressure of the fluid in your system. Then, select a valve that is rated for the maximum flow rate and pressure.

Can these valves handle extreme temperatures?

Eaton Danfoss SPC1-10 Series check valves can withstand temperatures within the range of -40 to 120 degrees C.
