Frequently Asked Questions

What are the uses of Eaton E30 Series illuminated pushbutton operators with indicating lights?

Eaton E30 pushbutton operators with indicating lights are used in control consoles & industrial OEM applications to provide visual feedback to the operator and make it easier to see the status of the circuit or system at a glance.

What is the operating temperature of these Eaton E30 Series pushbutton operators?

They can operate at temperatures ranging from -20 to 150 degrees F (?29 to 65 degrees C).

What are the differences between momentary & maintained contact mechanisms?

Momentary contact pushbutton operators close the circuit only while being pressed. They are generally used to control circuits or systems that need to be activated for a short period of time like during starting or stopping of a machine.
Maintained contact pushbutton operators, on the other hand, remain in the closed position until the button is pressed again to open the circuit. They are generally used to control circuits or systems that need to remain in a particular state till the operator manually changes it.

How do I install Eaton E30 Series pushbutton operators?

Users need to follow the specific instructions from the unit's installation manual. In general, Eaton E30 Series pushbutton operators fit into the industrial control panels & other electrical control systems and are wired to the system being controlled. Users need to use appropriate wiring techniques and ensure that all electrical connections are secure and appropriate for the current and voltage of the circuit.
