Working Mechanism

  • Eaton GJ Series circuit breakers feature a thermal and magnetic mechanism to detect and interrupt faulty currents.
  • The thermal element (bi-metallic strip) responds to prolonged overcurrents by monitoring the heat generated by the current flowing through the circuit breaker.
  • The magnetic element (electromagnet) responds to sudden, large overcurrents by monitoring the magnetic field generated by the current.
  • These thermal and magnetic elements trip and open the circuit if the temperature exceeds a certain threshold.

Features

  • These JG-frames are made of insulated and fabricated material, such as glass polyester / thermoset composite resin / thermoplastic glass fibre to ensure maximum protection against impact and other hazards.
  • They have a space-saving, compact design that allows quick and easy installation and can be easily removed for maintenance and repair purposes.
  • Eaton GJ Series circuit breakers are equipped with thermal-magnetic trip units to provide reliable protection against short circuits and overloads.

Standards and Approvals

  • IEC

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the advantage of a circuit breaker?

Eaton GJ Series circuit breakers are designed to protect electrical systems from damage caused by fault currents. They also provide a facility for manual disconnection in case of power failure or maintenance operations.

What is the current rating of these MCCB frames?

The maximum current rating of these Eaton GJ Series moulded case circuit breaker frames is 600

How to clean these frames?

Use a soft brush or cloth to remove any dirt, dust or debris from the frame. Avoid using solvents to prevent damage.
