HARTELL AL2 Series Condensate Pumps

Hartell AL2 Series condensate pumps are designed for applications that involve high surges of water. These electrically powered centrifugal pumps allow easy discharge of excess condensate fluid which cannot be done via a gravity feed.

Features

  • These pumps feature a 2-gallon cast aluminium reservoir which accumulates the condensed liquid from commercial ice machines and during cleaning of flush cycles.
  • The pump's motor is thermally protected to prevent internal damage due to excessive heat and stainless steel shafts to protect against corrosion.
  • They feature a snap action switch (attached to the float) that gets activated when the water level rises / lowers in the tank. This eventually signals the pump to start / stop the motor and maintain the condensate level in the tank.
  • All elements offer excellent oil and chemical resistance and can handle a maximum temperature of 150 degrees F.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a condensate in HVAC?

Condensate is produced when humid air is passed over the cooling coils at a temperature of around 55 degrees F, causing the moisture in the air to condense on the coil and drain into the condensate pan. From there the condensate is pumped out of the system where it doesn't cause damage to the internal parts.

What is a pumping head?

Pumping head refers to the maximum height that the pump can achieve while pumping against gravity. AL2 Series condensate pumps feature a maximum height of 22 feet with flow rates of up to 185 gal/hr.

What is the advantage of motor bearings?

AL2 Series pumps provide three levels of motor bearing protection from steam and water splash to offer extended motor life.
