Features

  • They come with mechanically locked, ball bearings for exhibiting low frictional loss and allow smooth & continuous operation.
  • These single-phase motors feature a capacitor start / capacitor run design to produce higher starting torque in heavy-duty pumps.
  • They have TEFC (totally enclosed fan-cooled) enclosures that use an external fan to blow air over the frame of the motor and prevent them from overheating.
  • They incorporate a continuous-duty operation, carrying the maximum constant load without exceeding the stated temperature.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to maintain the motor?

To ensure the motor is running smoothly, keep checking the internal parts regularly / occasionally and use lubricated sealed bearings to work on overloads and exhibit low friction.

What is the advantage of rigid base mounting?

In rigid base mounting, the motor is connected to the frame of the equipment by bolts and fasteners. This type of mounting reduces excessive vibrations caused during motor start-up and provides an accurate alignment between the motor and the surrounding mechanisms.

What is SF in a motor?

SF stands for service factor, designed as a standard number to determine how much a motor can be loaded intermittently within the highest temperature range.
