Features

  • They feature D-ring seal material for reciprocating dynamic or rotary applications, offering excellent corrosion & wear resistance.
  • They have low-friction breakaways for fast response time and are designed to be operated using an electrical solenoid.
  • They feature a bellow for protecting against vibrations, thermal expansion, pressure thrust & piping loads.
  • They feature a unique design that ensures reliable performance with low-pressure drop and minimal hysteresis.
  • They are composed of hardened steel for maximum durability and are capable of withstanding temperatures ranging from -35 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the function of a manual override?

The override function allows the operator to shift the valve manually in the event of loss of power or coil failure.

Why do some solenoid valves use mesh screens?

The mesh screen is intended for the protection of the internal components of the solenoid valve. The mesh catches small pieces of debris that could impede the spool or poppet movement. However, the screen is not recommended for primary filtration.

What are normally closed valves?

A 2-way, normally closed poppet valve acts as a check valve when de-energised, thus blocking flow from one direction and allowing restricted free flow in the reverse direction. When energised, the poppet lifts and allows free flow from the side to the nose of the cartridge. If the application requires free flow in both directions, the free reverse flow option should be chosen.
