STANLEY Soft Face Hammer

Stanley soft-face hammers eliminate bounce-back while striking hardened surfaces, protecting the delicate surface from damage. These hammers come with a urethane covering to reduce the amount of noise generated during striking and feature steel-reinforced handles to resist breaking on overstrike. They come in a wide range of head weights, making them compatible with all tasks....Read more

Working Mechanism

  • When the user swings the hammer head at the intended target, the hollow head (filled with steel shot) compresses and then expands, absorbing & dissipating some of the energy caused by the impact.
  • This creates a dead blow effect, allowing the hammer to deliver a powerful blow while minimising rebound.
  • The force is transferred to the object without causing any damage or marring delicate surfaces.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the advantage of non-marring heads?

The non-marring soft steel head absorbs impact and reduces work damage in operations where surface protection is critical. They are suitable for application on smooth and polished surfaces like stainless steel, aluminium, wood, marble, concrete, glass & plastic.

What is a shot-loaded cavity in these hammers?

A shot-loaded composite cavity within the head of the hammer helps to concentrate striking power and increase driving force.

How do I store my soft face hammer?

Stanley soft face hammers come with a flat space on the head that allows upright storage.
