REED Instruments R2450SD data logging thermometer is ideal for recording temperatures, up to 3092 degrees F, either manually or automatically at the desired sampling rate from 1 to 3600 seconds. This data logging thermometer comes with a beaded wire probe, a soft carrying case & batteries for use in medical, educational, R&D, pharmaceutical, food service and environmental monitoring applications.

Q. How to measure the difference between two temperature measurements in this REED Instruments R2450SD data logging thermometer?

A.

  • Insert two thermocouple probes in the unit's T1 & T2 input jacks or two RTD (Pt100 Ohm) probes in the PT1 & PT2 input jacks.
  • To view the temperature difference between the probes, hold the 'T1-T2' button for 2 seconds.
  • Press & hold the 'T1-T2' button again for 2 seconds to resume normal operation.

Q. How to record maximum & minimum readings in this REED Instruments R2450SD data logging thermometer?

A.

  • Enter recording mode by pressing the REC button. The 'REC' icon should display on the LCD. The meter should now start recording maximum & minimum readings.
  • Press the REC button once to display the maximum value as indicated by the 'REC MAX' icon.
  • Press the REC button again to display the minimum value as indicated by the 'REC MIN' icon.
  • Press & hold the REC button for two seconds to exit the recording mode & resume normal operation.
