Versamatic FUSION Technology features an oversized integrated plate on the diaphragm for supporting it throughout its dynamic motion. The deflection ridges eliminate the chances of radial cracking and flex points. Their backup ribs guide and support the pump's diaphragm with each flex. These diaphragms have no centre hole, ensuring leakage-free operation and installation.
The technology's dome shape allows the diaphragm to roll and spread the wear throughout the face of the diaphragm. The absence of complex angles eliminates any wear / stress points on the diaphragm. The technology's low start-up pressure minimises diaphragm stress. The dome-shaped surface delivers full stroke with maximum fluid displacement, thus creating a high flow rate with minimum strokes. Their flexible design makes these diaphragms invertible and enables installation without pry bars or special tools.
These diaphragms have oversized outer plates, minimising the exposure of the diaphragm to solids in fluid. They are ideal for positive suction conditions & creating high suction lift. The support offered by large diaphragm plates increases the durability & flex life of the diaphragm.
Various factors, such as fluid type, flow rate, pressure, fluid viscosity and temperature, should be considered while choosing pumps.
Filter regulators can be connected on the air inlet side to increase or decrease the flow or dial the pressure on the pumps.
These air-operated diaphragm pumps can operate on various air pressures (up to 125 psi). However, if the pressure drops or is obstructed, the pump loses effectiveness.
Most common reasons like flooded suction and weakened diaphragm can cause leaks in Versamatic pumps. Flooded suction is caused by excess downward pressure into the pump. This excessive pressure causes leaks at bolt holes. Also, dry running the pumps over excessive periods causes the diaphragm to weaken over time, resulting in frequent leakages.
Dirt & debris buildup causes the suction line to clog. This can be prevented by installing an inline filter on the pump's inlet side. This filter prevents solids from entering the suction line.
