These motors have rolled steel frame for strength and durability. They feature high-torque design with a keyed motor shaft that rotates clockwise or counter-clockwise to allow the motor to start under heavy load conditions. They have totally enclosed air-over motor enclosure design for blowing air over the motor rather than allowing outside air to freely circulate through the interior of the motor, thereby cooling the motor and keeping them free of contamination. These motors have a rigid or cradle base for mounting them horizontally or vertically. They offer automatic thermal protection to start or stop the fan operation according to permissible ambient temperatures for protecting the fan motors. FDayton capacitor start auger drive motors are used for powering grain augers found in poultry raising operations. These motors feature frames made of rolled steel for structural rigidity and resisting corrosion on exposed surfaces. Farm duty AC motors work on the principle of magnetism as they contain two fixed magnets and a coil of wire surrounding a shaft. When an electric charge is applied to the coil of wire, it becomes an electromagnet, hence generating a magnetic field. The equipped stator includes a loop of wire, solid metal axle, coil, squirrel cage made of metal bars and some other freely rotating metal parts that are capable of conducting electricity. In an AC motor, sending power to the outer coils make up the stator & the coils energise in sequence & pairs, generating a magnetic field that rotates around the motor.
