Frequently Asked Questions

How to assemble the ice machine pumps to existing units?

  • First position and hold a motor with the shaft facing up.
  • Place one washer over each motor stud.
  • Slide Slinger down the motor shaft to about 1/2 inch from the motor.
  • Place Bracket over motor studs and check orientation.
  • Place housing over motor studs and note orientation of discharge.
  • Place one washer over each motor stud and screw thumb nuts. Do not tighten the studs.
  • Now centre motor shaft in the housing hole and tighten thumb nuts.
  • Now slide the impeller onto the motor shaft and screw the impeller nut into the motor shaft.
  • Angle the discharge end and longer flat edge base plate into the housing groove. Tap the opposite side base plate tab with a nylon mallet. The base plate will snap into the housing groove and flush with the bottom of the housing when installed properly.
  • Test run pump before installing into equipment.

What is NSF?

NSF stands for National Sanitisation Foundation which assures clean, safe, simple and sanitary replacement, meeting & exceeding the specification of the original equipment.

What is a dual voltage motor?

Dual voltage motors allow the same motor to be used with two different voltages while still maintaining the motor characteristics of the nameplate specifications. Thus, the Hp and RPM will remain the same even if the amperage and voltage fluctuate.
